Rally Driving for youngsters 10 and over!
It's time for youngsters to get out there and experience the controls of a rally car. Develop their newly acquired skills on the rally stage with constant help and encouragement from their instructor. Once competent at these skill's, the fun begins, they will learn techniques such as handbrake turns, powerslides and more rally driving techniques. As part of a small group (3-4 people), you'll be allocated a car and your instructor for the session. Then it's time to get out there and experience the controls of a rally car. You'll take it in turn to drive while the others watch in three separate sessions.
After a welcome, introduction and briefing on driving and rally driving techniques the participant will spend the first session in a Ford KA Rally Car, they will learn basic driving skill's including starting, changing gear, steering and braking supervised by a qualified instructor. The next session allows the driver to develop these newly acquired skills on the rally stage and with constant help and encouragement from the instructor. Once competent at these skill's, the fun begins they will learn techniques such as handbrake turns, powerslides and more rally driving techniques.
For the last session, it will be straight into the rally seat and into action on the rally stage, your instructor will be calling the corners for you, and giving further instruction, and tips to power your way around the stage.
They will be going back to school and telling all their friends they have been doing it for real and not on the Playstation! Dalby Forest -
VIEW MAP
Dalby Forest is used extensively for both local and national rallies and has in the past hosted stages of Britains round of the World Rally Championship. The stages used are on full gravel within a safe area of the forest and provide the perfect venue for teaching the skills of driving on loose gravel. Dalby Forest is situated 5 miles north of Pickering in North Yorkshire.
Twyford Forest -
VIEW MAP
This forest is located 10 miles south of Stamford on the A1 and provides both loose and concrete stages on which to learn the skills of rallying. Twyford forest hosts many competitive national rallies throughout the year
Enstone -
VIEW MAP
This site is located close to Oxford and provides both loose gravel and concrete stages, with plenty of room to explore the cars limits.
