Throughout the past two decades two rally cars emerged as the main contenders in both the WRC and National Group N world and national rally championships, the Subaru Impreza and the Mitsubishi Lancer. Both have four wheel drive and powerful turbo charged engines, if you had the choice which one would you drive? The choice of car can make the difference between winning a championship and losing it! However everybody has a favourite, which is yours?
Why not come and experience a Battle of the Thoroughbreds course, where you can try both cars and make up your own mind. Discover each car's strengths and weaknesses and see which one suits your driving style.
The course consists of two driving sessions, one in each car.
Session 1
Each participant will drive a fully works-prepared rally car (Subaru Impreza Turbo or Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution) around the stage with the instructor in the passenger seat, who will teach the basic rally driving techniques to suit the course surface. You will be able to put the car through its paces to test the level of under steer, grip, acceleration and braking. You will be able to assess how good the car is before going on to session 2 in which you can repeat the process in the other car.
Session 2
Each participant will drive the other fully works-prepared rally car (Subaru Impreza or Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution) around the stage with the instructor. You will be able to compare the two rally monsters, did you prefer the grunt and growl of the Subaru or nimbleness and power of the Mitsubishi.
After a safety briefing and classroom session discussing rally driving techniques, participants have 2 sessions of 15 minutes in car, all timings include belting drivers in and out of cars.
Choice of three start times 9.00am or 11.00am or 2.00pm

Short classroom session on basic rally theory, together with safety briefing
Professional tuition by enthusiastic, experienced rally competitors

This venue is located close to Oxford just off the M40, which makes it convenient for London and southern counties. It provides both a super slippery loose gravel and concrete stages, with plenty of room to slide and explore the cars limits without any obstacles in the way.
Courses at this venue are available one weekend a month from April to December.
FACILITIES & SPECTATOR INFO:
Spectators are welcome.
For safety purposes we advise that you do not invite spectators under the age of 10 years.
Spectators under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult who is not participating.
A small charge is made for each spectator, which covers unlimited refreshments and insurance.
Dogs are permitted, although they must be on lead.
A photo package can be pre-booked or ordered on the day.
Passenger rides are available at an extra charge on the day
Toilet facilities on site.
Just wanted to say thank you for your rapid service with my order yesterday.
