Rallydays.co.uk Competitor Support Scheme
The Rallydays.co.uk competitor support scheme gives young UK rally competitors under 25, the opportunity to earn cash whilst giving them an opportunity to get a foot in the door of local businesses and organisations.
Rallydays.co.uk will initially provide competitors with 5000 (to start with) of our £10 off vouchers each printed with a voucher code unique to them (competitors can choose their code), they can then distribute those vouchers at rallies, around local business, including local automotive retailers and dealers as handover gifts and to friends, family, Facebook/Twitter friends and fans. For every voucher that is redeemed against a course on the rallydays.co.uk website they will receive a 25% profit share. A list of eligible courses and profit share amounts will be provided. The scheme gives competitors the opportunity of a financial return and could be used to open doors to local businesses as potential sponsors. To complement this opportunity competitors will also have a portfolio of rally based events and conference/meeting packages that they can add to proposals or sell to clients independently of traditional sponsorship packages. These packages will also attract a 25% profit share or they can add them into sponsorship packages at their effective discounted rate.
We want to work closely with each of our support scheme competitors to help them achieve their goalís, all we require in return is a small amount of on car coverage (we will supply 2 rallydays.co.uk logo vinyl stickers) and more importantly regular up dates from them in the form of press releases and social media posts that we can share on our own social media pages and publish on our website.
We would also like to create community amongst those registered and provide added benefits, such as discounted test days, 1 to 1 instruction with driver coaches and will help promote those competitors that register for the scheme through our social media channels, website and through our video production arm S.S.One Films.
Each registered competitor will have the opportunity to be part of one of our NWOBRT (New Wave of British Rally Talent) short films. We want to promote young talent in British Rallying through a series of short 5 minute films, not just on events but at home, training, practising, looking for sponsors, we want to see the characters behind the balaclava. To achieve this we will spend time with each competitor filming at home and on events, we would also like them to take the time to record short clips on their phones (little video diaries) when notable achievements occur and also when disappointment strikes. These films aren't just about success they are about how difficult it is on occasion just to make it to the start ramp. The more footage we receive the more we can include of each competitor in the edit.
